Meet Brittany
Brittany is a follower of Christ, devoted wife, mother to six beautiful children, and a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner that works everything through a Functional Medicine Perspective. Just like many that are here reading this, Brittany faced health issues herself—which lead her down this journey.
Brittany's Story:
I genuinely believe that the Lord allows us to walk through things first so we can then help others. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease with no cure and was told to take prescription medication for the rest of my life. I refused to accept that for an answer because I knew the Lord created our bodies to do amazing things—healing being one of them. I became my own health advocate and took control by changing my lifestyle. I am now symptom-free and never had to take any prescription medications! Food truly is the most potent medicine, and every bite you take will either feed disease or fight it. I quickly became so tired of seeing person after person dealing with chronic illness. These individuals sought help from numerous practitioners and specialists, and all to be put onto more medication with no relief! I understood that what we are missing is a multifactorial approach, rather than a pill for every ill.
Seeing this and experiencing my own healing fueled the fire within me to go back to school in this field to help as many people that I can. I always explain to my clients that I, myself, don't do what I do because I am afraid of getting cancer, fearful of dying, or because I want to look "fit." I do what I do because I am here on earth for a purpose, and I don't want to be hindered because of my own choices. The Bible says that our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (John 14:23, I Cor. 6:19-20). I believe we are called to be good stewards of many things, including our bodies. I believe that treating our bodies with respect and taking care of our health is a spiritual act of worship to the Lord who created us (Genesis 2:7). So, if there are things that we can take control of, we absolutely need to take that control! I know what it feels like not to be able to function and not do the simple daily tasks the Lord has called us to do. To get back into optimal function, I work with the fundamental rules and principles He created for our physical bodies to maintain health and wellness.
Mission: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). I trust Him and work to glorify all of His creation. The Lord has called me to help His people get healthy for His glory. We can't do what He has called us to do (Matthew 28:19-20) if we are continually hindered by chronic illness.
To God alone be the glory!
